Thanks for the info Barrie.I take the attached Catnic is the same boat you refer to.Raced 1977 - K.Gardner - 1 x Mercury 85hp - 17ft.

Now given a closer look,both Catnic and Pheasant Pluckers Son do look like `Winner` build,unlike the Stapley norm.

The Winner Stapley was made under licence by Winner there was only one model 16ft
Doug Driver took over Winner's and made Driver boat's models
Dart. 440. 500. 560.
When he subcontracted to Wavey Rider there was 440. 510.560.made under licence.
The Flecher T1 hull was a Stapley made under licence there was 3 wooden junior's made
1 Wooden T1 / 1 SE Cat /1 20ft mono Taloncraft and the very last Taloncraft mono made was the one I sold to Derrick. Photo of first Stapley
Tremlett Parug was the second one

the IoM pic of Pa Rug is what inspired us to buy Tremlett hulls ( 2 off ) to fit out in the early 70s

My apologies to bring up such an old thread. I acquired a Driver 560 recently hence I'm sucking up all the info on it's history.

Does anyone know where the 560 Drivers where built? Did they come out of Wales as the Winners (Penarth)?
