Sarah Donohue took a host of celebrities from the across the globe to Dubai for a crash-course in powerboat racing.
Powerboat P1 legend Donohue entertained the likes of Hollywood pin-up Jesse Metcalf, Joanna Page from cult TV show 'Gavin and Stacey' and BBC Radio One DJ Reggie Yates for Jack Osborne's British show Adrenaline Junkies.
Donohue was charged with making the celebrities understand what powerboats were, the difference between mono-hull and catamarans, how to handle the course as well as performing the tasks that every powerboat racer must carry out before they take to the water.
Taking place at the DIMC (Dubai International Marine Club), Osborne was partnered with Arab Ahmed Al-Suwaidi, Metcalf teamed up with veteran powerboat racer, Gary Ballough, while DJ Yates was put with Italian Christian Rivolta. Joanna Page was paired with experienced English powerboater Ian Blacker.
After a series of activities including dunk testing, a detailed briefing session, and how to do a proper start run, Donohue led the quartet out as the 4 X-Cats made their way over the waves to start the race.
To her delight, Joanna Page took the chequered flag ahead of her male counterparts alongside team-mate Ian Blacker.
Does a career away from the TV and into the water as a powerboat racer beckon?
Adrenaline Junkies airs on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV2 (United Kingdom only).
