Yanmar 6 LYA-STP

Does anybody know if there is a bellhousing and damper plate ,that connect a Yanmar 6LYA-STP 370 hp diesel engine to a Bravo XR mercruiser drive ?
What I,m looking for is a bellhousing with the 2 ears that sits on the inner transom plate, just like mercruiser does .
I know Yanmar makes a 300 hp version (4,2 L toyota landcruiser engine)that can be bought with a bravo drive as a package ,but I have no idea if this bolt pattern is the same as a 6 LYA-STP.
The mercruiser damper plate is too small in diameter to fit into the flywheel, also the bolt holes don,t match up.

I think the bolt pattern is the same but wouldnt recommend it because the torque of the engine would strip the gears in a matter of hours and would also wear the gimbal ring where the steering pivot goes through.

Just my opinion but i have seen the damage caused by quite a few 300 hps on X drives now and it is costly!!!!

I found that there are more out there that uses the yanmar 370 and 440 on a bravo xr drive .
The xr is rated at 600 hp ,but it doesn,t say how much torque at what rpm.
In sweden they use the yanmar 440 with a 2 speed ZF gearbox coupled to a XR drive, but I don,t have the room for that 2 speed box. hightechboats.se

What type boat are you looking to put it into? I work on a RIB where we have had to put 2 new gimbal rings into it in the space of 18 months due to wear around the steering pivot, but the boat does get driven quite hard and over long distances, but that is not the only one I know of. We work next door to the Yanmar dealers so I will ask him his opinion tomorrow.

With a 2 speed box and accosiated 'step-up', the rpm into the drive would be increased, resulting in the torque being reduced.
I don't think even an XR would live beyond the first good 'flight & landing' with a 440 Yanmar driving it. Max RPM is specced at 3300 on the 5.7 Yanmar.

Probably need to be more like 4300rpm to be in with a chance, and even then you'd have to be carefull when the boost came on at lower RPM's.

Just MHO

Also, I thought the bell-housing (car speak) of the 5.7 Yanmar was far larger than the Toyota one, and the location/size of the flywheel is very different to.

I have a 30 ft V bottem to put it in,i know its not that much engine for that boat ,but I am happy if it runs between 50 and 55 mph.

sonic 30 , could be a 28, as she measures 9 meter overall length.
Was having 2 gasengines ,when i bought it .
I was hoping to go for 2x 370 yanmar ,but i found out that with yanmar diesels the bottem of my wallet came in sight sooner than I thought.
Maybe when new $ arrived I will search for a second yanmar ,and hope it will go 75 mph

I found in sweden a set peninsular 6,5 L turbodiesels ,they claim 330 hp each.
I have trouble to read swedish ,but they ask 85000 swedish krona for it ... ( +- 6000 gbp) but it could be for the set .
If not having the yanmar i would probably bought these ,then I would not having my bellhouse/coupler problem.
and 70 mph maybe
