Can I add my appreciation to Nic's, & thank Bob & all at The RMYC who put on a race yesterday ?
Its so sad that a combination of incidents to four entrants, plus an apparent apathy in some parts of the powerboat racing community, resulted in only 7 boats starting.
As usual, great hospitality at "The RM", & again, "Thank you" !

Sorry Jerry the results were posted on Saturday evening which was more than 1 hour ago, so it's to late to protest now !!! but we are happy to take any protest fees to get the result sheet updated and the money would be donated to our Cancer Charity fund.

Thank You
Can I personally thank all the competitors, officials and volunteers that helped make our annual cancer charities powerboat race a great success last Saturday, yes the lack of entries was disappointing but those competitors that did support us had a great race and I think the timing was perfect as Poole Bay was mainly clear of leisure boaters.
It looks like we made a small profit which will go towards offsetting some of our annual RYA fees, but the better news is the Bar & Catering had the best day since we took the catering in house back in April 2012, and with the help of Cliff Smith’s raffle which raise £795 we managed to raise £1000 which will be split between Cancer Research and Macmillan Cancer Support.
This will be our final comment on this thread, a new thread will be started after the RYA Clubs meeting planned for the 30th July, and this will contain a copy of a statement that the RMYC Motorboat Committee delegate will be presenting to this meeting.
