Cowes 2012
SEPA would like to wish everyone competing in this years' Cowes event the best of luck and a safe race. We hope the event goes well for John and his team at the BPRC after all the hard work that has gone into the organisation of the event.

Colin, can you not see Channel 37 listed in the pdf that was published for you?
These frequencies are listed on many public-access websites. Indeed, a simple Google search would have revealed it for you!
I assume that you have a scanner and wish to set it up to monitor the Safety Fleet for the races at the weekend? Channel 37 is clearly listed.

Couple here Nige, not much help for you I'm afraid.

If you go Cowes Marina and Gurnard, then look at cameras top left, there 7 or 8 webcams . 2 or 3 of them are looking out from Gurnard.

This looks across from Calshot.
Have emailed wightcable to see if they will work at all this weekend.
Sorry you are not here.

Been over to Cowes this morning, boats look fabulous, especially the banana shark, Pippa, Drew's boat, and the two new ex P1 boats.
Let's hope the weather allows the race to happen tomorrow.
Go safe everyone.

Will all being well go down to Hurst tomorrow morning, last few years I've been to Hurst have been via the Ferry option 1. however as far as I know it needs booking by a party of people to have it leave any earlier than 10am, and by this time all the boats have been through Hurst on the way to the start-line so you would only see the finish --- option 2. Park on the main coastal road and walk up which is around a mile and a half over the rough gravel pathway, this I think will be my preferred option tomorrow, so an early start me thinks
PS ... Can any of the crew say if on the way to the start and then on their way back if they intent to hog the coast-line on the IOW side, or will they do as they have over all previous years go down the middle or biased to the Hurst side, Many thanks

Hi Billy I come from Salisbury so i come down the A337 from Lyndhurst to Lymington then west along the A337 to Everton Turn left to milford on sea once in milford at the grass triangle turn left for Keyhaven and take the 5th turning right , go down there for about a mile with a caravan site on your right until you reach water and the road turns left then you can park along the road alongside keyhaven marshes, The shingle bank can clearly be seen and Hurst Castle in the distance, Good walking shoes or boots are advisable!!Good luck! See ya there, i will be with my son and his mate, Im the good looking one in a GP Masters Cap!!
