Just had a great race myself with Black Tornado and Sam Mace (?) on FB!!!!!!!! The Yellow brick was tremendous for those who couldn't be there.

Wonder if it was problem with their port engine. There was no water coming through exhaust as they left Cowes Yacht Haven.

Indeed a wonderful virtual experience....it was several hours before sunrise here in Mexico, Marco in Italy could only see his tracker in Russian, but between the three of us and some marvellous online extras we kept up with it all. It will now be interesting to see if our interpretations of what we were watching on the tracker were anything close to what you mad brave lot all experienced out there. Crews, please post your race stories as in previous years and a big thank you to those who are already sharing their photos.
I have been thrilled to see Cinzano up there as ever - many congrats to all and a huge 'Cheers!' to the organisers for the tracker.
Would someone be kind enough to mention (and maybe manage a photo for the records ?!) who receives the John Mace Designer Trophy at the RYS tonight. Many thanks.

If you play the tracker back:

http://yb.tl/cowespowerboat2012

you will see some boats went a funny way, one jumped over portland bill another went inland via Weymouth,

and what we saw on the water just off Exmouth DZ is not how it looks on screen, me thinks some gremlins on the tracker!!!

The YelloBrick only updates every two minutes (or less or more frequently, depending how much the organisers want to pay), so it looks sometimes like it goes across bits of land like Portland Bill.

Lost a blade off the starboard prop after Exmouth, reckon we were 4th around the Teigmouth mark as Siggy came past us between the two marks playing catchup!

Dean had a fuel pump failure on the starbord engine after 10 miles.
Stuck on 68 mph... Too bad. Looked as he had a good strategy across the bay.
