I did see that in the stills montage posted on YouTube,
I'm sure somebody stuffed a pillow under my shirt!
John, I shall take this opportunity to thank you for the hospitality. I had a fantastic time on the start boat, a great viewing point. I know I can speak for Matt when I say we both thoroughly enjoyed the procession from cowes to muster (for which we were outside) and the start (for which we were in). Absolutely cracking!

Absolutely. For the first time in a long time I found myself thinking it might be quite nice to have a boat again.

Every one of those 9000 horses were giving us all such a great morning !
A super experience - I've been on start boats before, but for the length of "entertainment time" & all the sights, this beat them all.
The chance to "be up top" for 15 mins (Thank you George), & to see so much was priceless.
Thank you John.

Did you get to meet the girl who wanted to go shopping in West Quay, Southampton?
We are now convinced you directed her on to our Red Jet.

I wish !
She was strangely absent from view however, when I was either in the cabin or "up top" - most mysterious!

Just to say a big thankyou to all the organisers, volunteers, safety crews and all the others who put so much into making the event happen - without which we could not go racing.
A great event and still by far the best event and venue on the calendar.
There really is nothing else like racing at Cowes!

So am I correct in guessing that although originally listed as an entrant for CPC that 'Double 2 Shirts' never made it to Cowes?

Would also like to say a big thanks to Jon and everyone that made the races happen again this year, I think I must be a sucker for punishment as I enjoy the walk and part jog along that coastal path to Hurst every year, although this year I parked in the wrong car park so it was just a tad further from Xchurch or at least that's what it felt like
A quick question, was their a particular reason the course was different this year from others.
As it was pointed out before the race Hurst may be on the wrong side for the best view and unfortunately this did turn out to be true, although with a big set of bins it was not to bad but their was little noise as the boats were distant, so it was a bit ruined
Now with such a strong fleet, its a real pity their is not one more race just as their always used to be back in the day after Cowes
