Early testing.

Reckon you'd need to try quite hard to stuff that.

Mr Campbell checks the weight and C of G

It's a development boat for the US forces (one of a few to pitch for the contract) is designed by Lorne Campbell (of soup fame) and built by Ice Marine (of Bladerunner fame)

Not sure exactly how this one stands ownership wise, probably Jeremy Watts's but who knows.

Ah, when I saw that I thought it had a bit of the Scorpion RIB hull about it.

dont know about the styling, but the hull of the scorpion ribs was designed by David Marsh.
I am not sure if he also designed the plant for the steps?

Lorne Campbell is credited with some design work on Mike Deacons Scorpion Hot Lemon. This is a stepped version of the standard 10m Scorpion Cruiser & so it may be that he designed the steps into Dave Marsh’s original design. I’m not sure but will try to find out at the boat show.

However, to my untrained eye, it was the bow that looked similar & prompted my comment. This is a bog standard 10m cruiser.

I dont think that Graham would take credit for anything other than a "facilitating" role in the hull design.

He told me that once he "discovered" Ribs, after many years being involved with the resoration of Fairy Powerboats, he bought together the three most sea worthy rib hulls available at the time & had a team including a designer (Dave Marsh?) incorporate all the best features into a new design. He knew he was onto a winner when, as a spectator boat in roughish sea conditions, he manage to overtake most of the competitors in a race.

The rest, as they say, is history & I'm sure Google is your friend if you want to check this out.

I thought he originally started in the rib trade fitting out BWM's, and then decided he could do a better job of building the complete boat!
