Project hase been on hold for a few weeks due to some paperwork wich had to be taken care of .
Finaly i got the registration on the trailer , insurance on the boat and yesterday got the registration number for the boat , hope tomorow the origional papers get in so i can go out on thuersday for a first test drive
Meanwile i also fitted the trim actuator Dan made for me (Tanks again mate !) and fitted two hydrolic hoses John Arcer send met (Tanks again John !) , all hydrolics work now and is leak free after rebuilding the cilinders .

Meanwile i also fixed a transome on a Freedom weekend cruiser and got a Checkmate SX240 Sport at the shop right now wich is a bare hull wich needs the topdeck laminated to the hull befor the engine can be mounted .

After about 3months of rebuilding in total got her in the water for the first time this morning .
After a slow start we got out of the harbour and put the pedal down !
When trimming out the boat starts to jump up and down (no chinewalk) like a skipyball so i think i need to lower the engine one or two holles .
The water presure stays okay btw.
After filling the ballast tank for about half of it and lowering the tabs the boat got stabele and i could trim her out , reached a respecfull 72Mph on the gps @6000rpm so i think a low 80mph is posible if i can run her without filling the ballast tank and lowering the tabs as this slows her dow quit a bit .
Right now i am running a 23P four blade Vensura so i think i will need a bigger prop as well .
Been out for about 1hour but very happy so far

Thank!
Rob did she skippy as well whit th ho when you ran her with the engine on top of the transome?
I am planning to try a 3blade prop first to see if this will stop the jumping of the boat befor lowering, the cooling is perfect right now so no need to lower it for that :-)

she would run no problem with the tabs right up and empty of water. engine was as low as it would go on the transom, wanted to go a bit lower again thats why we cut it down

The boat's been lots of work but you should be very chuffed with the results. Well Done!

One small question. Did you fit the return spring on your trim gauge or was that how it was supplied?

Bought the spring myself and it works perfect!
Lowerd the engine one hole and the jumping is much less than befor, think i wil lower it one more hole after the weekend.
Best result so far 117,2 km/h @5930rpm with a 23p vensura fourblade prop, very pleased withe results so far :-)
Think i can win 2/3 km because i still trim the engine down with the bowtank and tabs.
