I am going to connect this to my 21 engine and ditch the electric motor!
I think there should be a handicap depending on how much money you have spent on the boat!

Rather than a 'handicap' rule I think a 'no testing before the day' rule would be much better so we can all have a laugh when each others boats tear themselves to pieces or catch fire or do whatever there going to do.

The 36' Cigarette I Like It Too is still in my dad's loft gathering dust. My dad still has the moulds. As for Robert Bruce, that is undergoing a refit. A model of the 35' Limit Up was built for Pete Downie. By the way, these are 1/12 scale and are either 6.5 or 10cc. Dad is in possession of Tim Powell's model Breathless which had a 25cc chainsaw motor in it, though I think that was nearly 48" long. Will try and post some pics soon.

Hi, in the new year I'd like to look at building my own scale boat and noticed some of you guys on here seemed to know what you're talking about when it comes to that.
I'd like to be able to create a model that resembles my backdraft as much as possible...
How would I go about forming moulds?
What sort of Scale would be ideal for it to be fast but still electric powered? (I've spent the last year pouring money into a nitro truck!!)
Any help at all would be much appreciated, Cheers, Maxim

Anyway! I think it might be an idea to get a V24 model and alter the deck of that. The hulls are similar enough and its the closet off the shelf your gonna get!

Anyone remember the guys from Team Spirit? One of them had some great models of Cougar cats that he had made himself. Maybe if he´s reading this he can advise on how to go about your proposed build?

The saddle.
Motor mounts at one end, rudder stock & shaft tube tie into the other.

Jon, is that a trick of the camera or is that coupling out of alignment slightly?

The wooden saddle isn't bonded in yet, you can see in the pic that it isn't sitting straight on the tunnel roof.
all looks ok when in place
