Any idea what boat this might be, or was?

Took my boat down to an industrial unit in Warsash to have the screen wrapped today and saw this, any ideas what it is (apart from being a boat)

Could be the black (Pure Genius) which sat up the road a Eastlands yard in the 90's ??
Was it about 30' long??

The Guiness boat was a Bonito 36 but the bow on this one looks to blunt ( but my eyesight is going ! ) Interesting framework.

I'd have put it in more the 40ft category, although without measuring it i can't be certain. My folks used to have an Etap 38i (Cough...sailing boat) and it definitely seemed bigger than that.

It's been in that yard for the past few years and looks up close to be an unfinished hull and deck mould.

Always assumed it was a Bonito but could be wrong.

That's my mates Aquasport parked next to it if anyone wants a nice little 22ft 2 berth American sports fishing boat!

I can't see or download the image you posted, but if the boat looked like this (attached) it was my 1989 Bonito 36 race boat, "Pure Genius".

It was built new from Kevlar by Brian Whitmarsh. I sold it in the early 90s as a project with two Merc Bluewaters to replace the awful King Cobras - and Speedmaster drives.

Never saw it again, but would love to hook up with it one day. It never reached it's full potential, as Guinness cancelled their sponsorship of all forms of motorsport at the end of 1989.
