Never felt comfortable with Bennet trim tabs on fast sports boats, just don't appear to have the strength built into them for the high speeds and high stress levels as some of the Keikhafer types have, you appear to have spent a fortune on the engine and hull but kept the inferior trim tabs (in my opinion) get round to Cyco and have a set fitted that are fit for purpose, you may not be so lucky next time, perhaps you are pushing them to the edge of their safe operating range.

The following has been copied from the Bennet site:

You may wish to contact Bennett Marine to discuss your particular application. Bennett Sport Tabs are available for boats in the 40-60 mph range

Even more worrying, think of what could have happened had you been using them, I have seen over the years a number of damaged tabs even to the point of the tabs getting bent out of shape and the Rams getting broken off the mounts.

Nice fit out of the boat, even better looking than when Stuart first bought it new.
