Blade Run

Just got back from the Blade Run Like to say Thank You to the ocean dragon and durex boats who came to our assistance when we had some problems. Must recommend the club lounge on the PO ferry that we came back on.
Got a couple of photos.

Only a small problem with the transom starting to crack.
Got a copy of the original brochure from Revengers saying the max HP for outboards was 2 x 225. Managed 180 miles before it cracked. Didn't want the French to get the salvage on those beauties.

How did you bring the boat back home? If you were on the ferry, where was your boat?

We had the problem at 14.00 on Fri. got into Le Treport at 17:00 due to the lock, A couple of mates drove out with the trailer leaving at 19:30 and got into Le Treport at 02:00. ( Two pissed of wifes ) Loaded the boat on the trailer 08:00 and got back to Watford by 15:00
Then i drove the boat down to Poole Quay and arrived 18:15 just as the last boats got in. So technically we finished the blade run even though the boat went by road.

News from Chris is the transom is getting beefed up and we will be at Cowes Sat / Sun

Not sure about the weight difference's I guess the optis weigh more as the cowlings are bigger. These engines have the 30in legs aswell so there is more strain on the transom. However you can't get 25 in legs counter rotating

You did well there. Two pissed off wife's goes with the game and I speak from experience. Its their mission in life to get upset when their husbands/boyfriends are having a good time playing boats. That will upset a few of the ladies on this site I guess but who agrees with me?.

I am the luckiest bastid in the world.

If Ana gets bored with the boating, she goes off and does something else. No complaints, stress, nagging, whining or other such. And when I am finished with the boat playtime, there are no residual feelings that need taking care of!

Besides, most of the time she is in the boat anyway

had to buy another boat so her and another of the guys girlfriends can go racing as well, costs a bit more but well worth it as a big reduction in the grief stakes
