Barry Drinkwater (aka Bentleys p25) having a go to the end. Did make us laugh with the comment "I thought I could recover it thats why I hung onto the wheel". Talking of which it had a ture pucka "meat & 2 veg dent in it" Didn't arf walk funny for a couple of weeks. He was hauling ass though to be fair

Blufin 21' Class IIIC. you dont see many offshore boats go like she did. fek he was going quick. If he had made it to the mile I reckon he could have nudge the Nurse Bros off top slot.

A few in the archive somewhere, even some that have broke too
Baz was going quicker that any 2 or 4 ltr phantom at the time by about 20+ mph ( but as he never made the mile it didn't count, off the record. the call was over 80 from the observers). Changed the deck after this & never went the same totally trashed the handling.
At the end of the day it's all possibly dangerous @ 50+ whatever your in, cat, mono, Tri, motorbike, car, airplane................
But thats why we do it... nice to know you are still alive eh !!!!!
If you want safe buy one & lock yaself in it.

I raced the boat for a year after that - and it was a complete bitch in anything other than flat calm - and all the races I did were rough or choppy at best.

But it was still amazingly quick in the calm and went round turns more like a circuit cat.
