Blufin T850

Hi all,
I have just taken on this little project from Bob (OCRDA), much to my wife's disgust/joy (mixed emotions as she is sure she will be addicted to T850 racing but hates being skint as I spend all our money on boats lol).
It came as a complete package with a T750 Yamaha 60hp 2cyl but the gearbox had shredded the dog clutch. Bobs boys couldn't strip down the box as ring nut is seized so cut a window in the side. all it needs is a 55/60 2 cyl gear box (I believe it will take a yam pro 50 gearbox with splined selector not push pull) so once I have some dosh that will be in the wanted items.
Long term plans, Paint orange with black decals, a ss Yamaha 70hp.

Quick Video of the first time I got the engine to start. it did need a clean of the carbs but everything else seemed in order.

Thumbs up

Ahhh, my old boat!
Good luck with it. Hope you get it running well like it should.
I had a 90 on for records week and did 71.5 mph. Very stable hull.
Dad bought it brand new in the 80's and gave it away to a friend. I got it back off them and put a new transom in it. Unfortunately the rear fairing was missing.
I miss it but ran out of room to keep it. Enjoy.

Always good to hear a bit of history about a boat, thank you. im realy enjoying it. as you say, very stable, great handling as well. not as exciting as the old Bristol I used to race in but great! I go feel it needs the 70hp but until a bargain comes along I will stick to the 55hp.
