Bordeaux
Went out to France last week to spend some time with the team who bought our last RIB.
Had a great time and saw their race event at Bordeaux. Not exactly offshore - actually more like a circuit race on the river - but was good for spectators etc.
Interesting collection of boats:
RIB start with our boat in the forefront

Adam,
How's yr RIB going - looks good in the pic?
What Evinrude engine was the blue phantom running - is that just an aftermarket nose cone add-on or a standard 'rude part??

Hi
RIB was running really well by the end of the weekend.
First heat they were running 3rd (out of three in class). We made a few changes over night and they finished a strong second in the second heat.
Final race was really good and they led for about 90% of the way - but then raised the lifter (rather than lowering it) going into a turn and got completely out of shape, knocked it out of gear and lost the position! Finished second.
But very happy customers - and the boat looked great. Course did not really suit it as there were a lot of turns. She had a bit of top speed over the two other boats - both Falcons.
Boat pictured was running a 225 Evinrude - and went quite well but found the course too tight and calm I imagine. (running a nose cone kit).

4 litre cat - great finish and pretty quick - but maybe a little non-conventional in looks.

MissCat winged monohull and sister boat behind - ran 3C with XS200 Merc. Actually went very well and would be interesting to see how they compare with our fleet.

Blast from the past - I believe a Phantom hull originally put together by Neil Holmes?
Perhaps JF can give a few more details?
