It had something written on the plates but could never make it out. I wonder why greg shot blasted then? I might replace the gearcase someting with a mint condition one and may even have it anodised.

Four short shaft 2:1 cle's and sportsmaster's and a 1.87:1 20" shaft.
That g.box had more chaos stamped in the side and was off a p21 race boat down here and was run on my bat boat for a while whilst testing ratio's and props.
Your gearbox weve found will be faster if you have a matt finish on it not gloss to!

two going one way, and one going the other!

But that asside, 2 or more motors on a wee 19 footer, for offshore use, is stoopid.
Twood be infinitey better with a single high power motor.

Twins are great, if you have the size & bouyancy of boat to take it.
