You only have to look at the stats to see how many lives Martin Baker has saved.

Personally I think the Russian submarine fleet's safety record speaks volumes - not to mention a certain power station.....

Having spent 3 months working with the Malay navy in Lumut, I can catagorically say there are almost none at all in that bit of the navy - they are all Malay originals, the only ones of Indian heritage I saw were driving the lorries - and they weren't in the navy - maybe it's just the airforce?

According to them the Mig's are a very unforgiving plane, difficult to fly.

Also lived in Malaysia, they have Migs and Yank planes and they are f*ckin crazy pilots but they hardley ever have a problem in a Yank plane so go figure that...

But no matter how fast or good a plane is only as good as its ground crew, its no good on the ground in pieces or put back together badly.

One of my expat drinkin buddies worked for McDonall Douglas and he once took an F18 up for a test after being serviced by Malaysian ground crew. He put it into a roll and a ratchet n socket came out from under his seat, smacked him in the face and then into the canopy - nearly lost the plane.

Well I donīt know how you consider Finn Aces
http://www.warbirdforum.com/faf.htm, crazy or not up to you to judge but we have had Fouga Magisters (which are unreliable peace of crap) Mig 21 Bis, J35 Drakens and currently F-18.
With the Migs no more problems than the F18īs here...until we fixed F18īs to work even in cold.
Yes there has been some landing and engine problems here with them.

Su 25 & 27 are more of a bomber/ground attack fighters and therefore bigger and not thet nimble than the best of them all the Mig-29/33.
