Fun indeed!

We started at about 35 knots, then Dan wanted to go the fastest...

He fell off at 45 knots (skimmed for ages!) then got back on and we did 48 knots!! Mental fun!

I've got to be careful though, if i'm nasty to them, there going to give me hell when i have a go!

Perfect day...

Very cool.

Out of interest what camera/mounting are you using?

Is it in a waterproof housing or does your arch "always" stay dry?

Is that the blue one? If so I gave him a bit of a chase a few weekends back in the hope that he would open it up! Certainly got some go in it!

That's the one. Seems an ideal race boat. If anyone's catching you just drive in front and flood them.

Anyway I've got a video of me in my boat under full power struggling to make any headway. I think it might be a driver issue?

Hi
We were running at 60-65mph. The waters around here are lovely, but as you said, they can be a bit choppy at times.

Thanks for introducing these to boatmad have now bought one and tried it out for the first time at the weekend,I mounted it to the Ski Pole with the additional mount/clamp you can buy-I thought with this mount I could use it facing forward and back even with a ski rope atached.I did discovered a couple of thing,Allways tighten clamps when you have dry hands as it was very rough (and dark) and the camera dropped down after a few bumps, second discovery which improved the picture quality was,the first 100 yards the picture was quite dark but as the camera slowly dropped down and picked up the floor of my boat(Bright Yellow) but still a good forward view the picture quality brightened up and improved substancially unfortunately the camera continued to drop so I have 15 minutes footage of my rear seat but suprising good sound quality.Looking at your footage I would think if you angled it down slightly and it picked up the whiteness of the seats it might give you a better picture, with its wide angle you could have less sky and more boat but brighter pictures.Im no expert but thought it good to share my experience.I also opted for the clamp as I've heard the stick on mounts can come off and you could loose the camera(Needle in a Haystack at sea) so a safety lead might be usefull.I also used it to take some footage at Torquay and this came out supprising well particularily the sound of the V24's.I think all boats should have a V8's.Any way I'm very pleased with it so far-geat bit of Kit,Cheers Nic
