Coniston boat crash weds 02-11-11

A sequence of images of Kevin Hills crash today can be viwed at the link below. Unfortunately due to very low light conditions focus was lost but I have posted anyway just to show what happened. Unbelievably the boat landed right way up to continue, albeit slowly, and he was only prevented from doing the return run by a marshal boat red flagging and blocking his way. He appeared to be OK, although I'm sure he will be sore tomorrow, and gave me a thumbs up as he passed by close in shore.
Regards

Hi, I was on that Marshal Boat. In fact, we were the Rescue Boat located at South Timing with a Diver, Doctor and Paramedic on board. After checking that Kevin was ok immediately after his spin, we followed him allowed him to continue. He crossed the timing point slowly with his bow in the air, having great trouble trying to get it down (full of water?). After he turned and started his return run, we were instructed by the Marshal or OOD to Red Flag him as K777 was trying to get get ready at the North end of the lake, and safety boats were needed there and light was fading. In fact, the CubriaLive TV camera swung away from Kevin before his spin, to take in the activity at the North end.

Great pictures, by the way
