No punch line…I was being serious. I drove one of these last summer with a 90 hp Yamaha on the back, in rather rough sea conditions of the west coast of Norway last summer. I was really taken back by how composed and well balanced this boat was, specially in a head sea. Its one of those hull’s that are so fun to drive in the rough and never stops to surprise you with it’s agility, that you just want to go on and on. We were only meant to take it for a short trip but ended up having to go back for more petrol several times…It’s probably one of those boats you have to experience to appreciate.
It ‘s obviously not a race boat although it did win quite a few endurance races in the 60’s, it is just the perfect the pocked size performance day boat. It can also sleep 2 under the hard top. It designed by Jan Herman Linge, he is more know for designing the Soling class sail boat and the Nasty class MTB. He was also designed the hulls for the early winds including the legendary 22 footer.
