When I went to see them a year ago or so they were making the plug for that console, it looked awesome but I was sworn not to post my pics of it!

Very nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Interesting cockpit solution on the cougar rib. Have they made their own rules with regards to escape exits?

Scand - there is an escape hatch right over the top of the front two crew.......they were working on it on the Saturday to pass scrutineering. A few modifications were necessary (minor).

I think there are - the quarter nearest the camera is a vacant seat (!).

It's a stunning boat and its good to see more large boats out racing, it really makes an event like this. I am just trying to understand the rules and how they are applied for future projects.

Don't bother!

It seems that as it didn't fully adhere to the rules it was allowed to race with three occupants!

Well I for one am glad it was allowed to race. The more the merrier (from a spectator perspective at least) although I understand frustrations given the hoops I gather you guys had to jump through.

It is a great looking boat and I personally dont think cougar / Steve get the credit they deserve on this site. Absolute legends in the sport and british to boot!

I was also glad to see the boat start - we need all of the boats we can on the start line - Like Petter as a designer and us as a boat builder having just gone through a slightly lengthier process it would be great if we could see a little consistency and guidance in the application of the rules?

That is one hell of a mean looking piece of kit! A new era in design for offshore race boats. Wonder what it would look like as a hard boat version? Anyway, congratulations to all at Cougar, it's good to see new boats coming out racing.
