Might be about the same as the bernico!!!
Altho we can change wheels and tyres on this one if we have a problem

160mm ground clearance but with a flat bottom vee design so it should not get stuck so easy as the bernico did!

The length is 21ft well just under (by 20mm) did not want to risk being right on the money) this is the running surface length to suit ski racing.

The overall length is 23ft.

I liked the ides of having a shifter in the middle, and it also makes for a good storage area.

Boat is looking lovely indeed.

I can certainly recommend the shiny stainless twin trim switches.

And I know a man who can make em for ya too

Good luck with the rest of the build.

Have driven with both motors and I prefer the HO it has more punch to it.
The Merc seemed to take forever to build up any speed.

Also the HO has a much better warrenty and Race Marine who supplied the engine are very local to me.

Yes 21 to where the tabs start, same as the Bernicos except Nico takes his measurements right up to the last mm!!!

This one overall is 6" shorter than my old Bernico but alot wider.

Well if you need a shifter to suit it drop me a PM!!

I modelled three or four different versions of center console before settling on this one, the one in the boat at the moment does not have the opening on the rear rad at the moment for storage that was mainly due to time constrants.

Looks fantastic! Glad to see you're finally getting a result from the money you invested in the first place! At least this way you know the quality of the build is up to your standards, I can tell you're a man who likes everything to be perfect!
What's happening to your bernico then?

James

I make them, but they worked out very expensive.

Length and pivot point was designed to suit this hull, also the top clevis block sits on the angle change line on the transom so also needed carefull consideration.

Really happy with the finished product they look great fitted to the boat.

Wow you've done a great job fantastic good to see it's all come good in the end for you

When the 700xs was rigged with a slightly tuned HO did it not get close to 90mph so yours should be over 80mph I assume once dialled in

touch of irony the Bernico going to Australia, as these boats the 19 and 21 are re moulded from the Australian boats produced by Shetland back in the 80's a kind of exchange of ideas

a couple of years ago I came across a test of both the Shetland 19 and the 21 in a magazine the 19 looked great as it does as the 600 but the deck of the 21 looked more like a Fletcher 21 with a glass screen which was no where near as good looking as your deck
