But the 21 seemed to be the boat of choice for ski racing and I believe got the better reviews.

its basically a genration 1 cyclone 21. As I believe the cyclone 21 is also originally a haines hull

Boat looks great, well done!
We use Plascore polypropylene honeycomb (very similar to Nida) in our cats tunnel, hull sides and bulkheads.

Interesting construction, what resin did you use?

Great to see these boats being built Are you going to continue building them?

Cyco

I found a distributor of nidaplast in Belgium.
So I'm going that route

I still wonder what material you used for the transom?

Thx

Bulkheads

Couldn't find a set of bulkheads to suit so made my own.

Drew the plate up on Solid works then had it laser cut welded and polished.

Really happy with how they turned out.

If your phone has a removable memory card you might be able to recover the pictures with free software you can get on the net, worked for me. It was my memory card library that wasn't listing the pics. The software reformed this.

Ski Pole

Now this was not easy to work out!!!
Being machined today should have it for a trail fit tonight.

Here is the back of the boat in the first pic, the ski pole has to fit on the angled back of the middle hump.

Then the other pics are solids works images of the pole layout.
The Tee bar will fit between the Kneels above the fuel tank.

Looks almost as good as a Cunningham weld.

You gonna fit some decent throttle and shifters to the boat, something like a Salmon control would look good?

Shifter

As much as I like the Salmon shifters which are a very nice product I think that I will be fitting a Cyco shifter which I manufacture.

I have a stainless steel 4 lever box in the engraving shop at present, I will post a pic once assembled on Thursday.

In the pic below you can see the shifter (in it's un-polished state) before it was sent to the engraving shop.
We fitted it to the boat to work out what height lever we wanted in each position and which way we wanted the levers to work (forward or back) apart from the gears which is pre-set.

2 parts cut out, drilled, linished, polished, drilled & tapped, bolted together to hold exactly in place, then TIG welded by Cunninghams and polished.

On this occasion, Cunninghams only did the welding. I made the bits, and did the post weld polish, but they are quite outstanding at all aspects of custom fabrication from start to finish if that's what's needed.
