That reminds me, back in the summer at Cowes myself, Burty and Old Beardy met a rather interseting chap from South Africa. He claimed that with the permission of SB he had taken a plug from a P20, added steps and wings and raced it with great success. Being a little bit dubious about his claims Burty gave him his email address so he could send him some photo's of this amazing creation. Surprisingly enough Burty never did receive any photos .

Oh well looks like its upto me again to do a graphical representation of what such a boat could look like!!!

Funnily enough I went to Cape Town for the 1.3L worlds in about 1994 or so, (can't remember), they had all sorts of stepped and winged phantom rip offs, seemed mostly extended 16's, will try to dig out some old pictures. Quality was sh*te and looked as if they had been made in someone's garage but they were quite fast ...

Yep that surely looks like a seaplane that has had a bad encounter.

Not to diss on the builders success in racing thou.
He´s justabout conquered everything and his dad too.
