EBAY Bargain

Thought that you might like to see an Ebay bargain that I picked up this week unseen. Many of you may not recognise this hull, no prizes for guessing though. 21 ft, probably about 1990 ish. I'm guessing that it's a 2.4, how can you tell the difference with a 2.5 ? Motor came off a twin rig as it's got a stainless tie bar plate on the bak. Don't know any history of the boat recently, was used for ski racing with one seat facing back. Came on the galv 4 wheel trailer, wheels need a repaint.
I imagine that it should be quite quick, tabs and everything work, motor sounds great on a hose.
As always everythings for sale !
Anyone fancy a swap on the motor for an XR2 so that I can dig out the old helmet and do a bit of F200 ?

This boat looks like the Frode raced by Paul & Andy Warwicker a few years ago, fast as hell in a straight line! theres the clue!!

This is a 2.4 block. 2.4's were made up to about 89/90 ish. Note the shape of the block within the nice oval I went to the trouble of drawing on it.

Again a 2.5 block. Note the arrowed flat squares cast into the block. These arrived on the unpainted high performance blocks in 95. I dont think they were ever on the painted non race motor blocks.

What you ribnobba lot need to post about, is usefull info like:

"How to stay aboard your boat during a routine journey."

and

"How to fix ones 'armbands' permanently to ones craft."

Some of your more experienced members could share such info as:

"How to move a 'CE' plate from one rib to another to suit your needs."

Or even:

"Checking the accuracy of your 'CAD' Predicted flotation balance."

The last being my personal fave!

Ah, I thought you were referring to a mythical aluminium RIB!

Didn't realise that it was necessary to produce CAD drawings when splashing an existing hull. It must be a much more difficult and skillful job that I had realised

Especially when you consider that the hull bouyancy/shape is 'dictated', (being a splash) the motor position, and subsequent weight/position is 'dictated', and the fuel tank/passenger mass, should be somewhere around the CofG, what bit did he calc with CAD?....nob
