That year was my first year racing in that event too but I was O.K. I had a big cruiser!You are right, racing down the Thames flat out was just great and then it opens up into the Estuary and you realise that the sea with it's big rolling waves is a big bad place to be in.

I was in a Blu Fin cat and she was not too happy in the chop - looks a bit exposed by todays standards!

I'll go with that, great times. I particularly liked the challenge of those ten beautiful blonde's that they brought to every event. Never succeeded in getting my hands on one unfortunately, the wife never let me out of her sight! when they were around. I know someone who did though, or so he said.
