Mmm. They seem to have taken the most ugly features from a number of designs and combined them into 1!

Hi there!

I saw the boat " alive " driving in the baltic sea.
It is very loud and fast , but i think the design is the biggest shit ever seen on german waters :-)
So , i am very happy with my british-made boat :-)

Last year they planned a journey through the atlantic. They advertised it in german forums , but they never started to do that....

by the way:

this is a real german-made Powerboat:

looks much better :-)

best regards!
Andi

Strange one - I got asked to advise on this project some years ago via the structural designers.

Was sent the drawings - it looks worse in the drawings as well! Worked hard over a Xmas period pointing out many details from a hydrodynamic point of view (styling being their responsibility). Also looking at handling and practicality. There were some fundamental errors and flaws in the design in my opinion.

This was not what the builders wanted to hear - so they didn't pay me!

I wonder whether, after not paying you, they took your ideas on board and modified the design.

Never really found out - think they got to the stage of creating the plug and then got cold feet or doubts.

Really wanted someone to say all was well and then probably get the blame when things were not.

Certainly there was a long time delay from that Xmas to when the boat was eventually photographed and heard very little of it since -or of German Powerboats for that matter. They had some pretty big plans when I was speaking to them.

The builder of that boat told us , that the customers thought that the sound was too low :-)

Now its better :-)

He made some modifications to the lower units.

the boat runs 61 knots an the model is called " C 35 ".

best regards!

Going back to the GP43, when you go to the site and watch the video clip of it running, it seems to run on the outer sponsons/hulls. Seems to me like the architect couldn´t decide whether he wanted a monohull, cat or 3-pointer! An exercise is how not to design a boat me thinks.
