Great to see it coming along so well now for you, it's looking very nice bet you can't wait to get out there and put it through it's paces

That looks so much like Chris Lewis old boat shed where I have spend the odd £ or 2 over the years although it's now Marinenautic I think

Hi Carl, a friend of mine was chatting to me on Saturday who like me has a Ring RIB however he mentioned he was very keen to move away from the dark side of the force and go all hard...and his favoured weapon of choice would be either a Ring/Extreme 21' or 24 however he feels the 24 on it's trailer would be too long for his allotted slot he's had for years at the good old Royal Motor...therefore when I mention you had posted on Boatmad the building and running of a 21 he was very keen to hear what you had to say about handling etc and speed/fuel consumption and speeds achieved, his preference would be the same as yours the 6.2 inboard engine

Cheers Carl

hi,the fuel consumption of the 6.2 is excellent,it uses no more than a 200hp ish outboard,i roughly workrd it out and at cruise 45-50mph and 3000ish revs it uses 1.25l per mile,so not bad at all. if i went from port solent to the folly and back it costs me approx £50. top speed is about 70mph,but does get lively. the handling for a 21ft boat is very good, ive been out in some bumpy weather and never crossed my mind that i would have a problem, and the seats are superb, the cuddy is very comfy to kip in(cosy for 2) and the rear sunpad lovely on those hot summer days. all in all i think you would have to get something very special to beat the extremes,as an all rounder

It's going to be close. We now know what bespoke parts are needed and being made as we speak. Should start to come together in the next couple of weeks. Will keep you posted. By the way it's 34 foot now
