Australian waterski racing
Is it specific to Australian to tow 2 skiers ?
Does this kind of race with Two skiers exist in a European Challenge???
How many Hp on the boat to make this possible? 1350+hp?

1400hp twin turbo BBC in that one I believe. Absolutely mental, can't even begin to imagine how fast that feels on a ski!

This is from the series of river races down under which are run as a time trial, nearly all of them are 2up races, they also do circuit racing the same as we do over here in europe, there have been a few races over the years in europe where you can run 2up, unfortunately, certainly in the UK we lack the rivers to be able to do it with speed restrictions etc, our one and only river race is sadly no more after a number of people upset the organisers... i think this boat has in the region of 1600 to 1700hp, from a twin turbo big block Chevy

probably because of the length of rope being used, a normal slalom line is around 70ft long, these guys will be on around 300ft so over the greater length you are more likely to notice it flex a bit. Race ropes are also thinner and more lightweight so you can use a longer length, it means they do stretch a bit, again more noticeable on a longer length, but the same with any rope i would guess?
