IMHO, The Buzzi's 55', be it
'La Gran Argentina' style, or the 55rib would wipe the floor with the Apache in the rough (proper rough).
Just watch the Buzzi vid, where were all the awsome rough water Cigs & Apaches etc, when Buzzi was 7 hours in the lead from Miami to New York??......7 HOURS!! The US had that spanking on their own doorstep with the best US hulls & engines available and that was only a Buzzi 40.
It really makes me laugh that that particular edit of that video, with the old, then new Apache, was one I put together from a tape Mike Lloyd gave me. the point where the two clips are joined and the squiggly bit where he says 'There's nobody else out here folks', are the give-away that it's the edit I did. it's hosted on the gallery server here, and seems to have been nicked & re-hosted by loads of people on youtube etc, which I find very odd, as that has reduced the quality. They could have just used a link to the version on here. Weird.
