In the beginning of May, the quaint little seaside town of Lyme Regis in Dorset played host to the 2nd Round of the 2013 British National Waterski Racing Championships, and also the 2nd British team selection race for the World Titles in Tenerife later this year.
Competitors were greeted with bright sunshine, but also faced with the prospect of a 50 minute +1 lap race on the ever changing course, a violent mix of rough water, big holes and huge Atlantic swells rolling into Lyme bay.
With boats, skiers and crew all taking a pounding, our collection of GoPro cameras captured the race to share the experience, although some of them took quite a hammering too!
Put it on full screen, in HD, and hold on tight!
(We did unfortunately have a number of crew members sustain injury, particularly the observers facing backwards in the boat, however I am pleased to say none were serious and have either fully, or are nearly recovered thanks to medical staff on hand on the shore)
