My ride

Gday everyone,
I am new to this site and thought I would introduce myself with a couple of pics of my boat.
It is an Australian designed and built troycraft with an Evinrude CCC on the back.
Hope you like it.
Cheers Des Maslen
BTW I also have an ASV formula three in the shed complete with a M31 if you know anyone who wants to buy one it is for sale.

what is a ccc

This is an OMC factory race engine from the early eighties.
They were a 2.4 litre crossflow (block came from the 200hp fishing motor) fitted with a different front half which has 6 duel throat cabies, tighter cylinder heads, different exhaust and a flex plate flywheel.
This one is a 2.7 litre (235 block) with all the same gear fitted and the engine is also finger ported.
It pushes my boat to 120mph give or take a couple mph for course length and conditions etc. the best I have seen is 126 in practice, perfect conditions and a loooong wind up

Try registering with

www.circuitracer.co.uk

That site is aimed at Circuit boys rather than this site which is mainly Offshore!

Also, F3 has died in Europe, I was lead to believe that you Aussies are one of the only countries running F3!

Is your Troycraft a copy of a Burgess? Looks very similar.

Cheers,
Carl.

my boat

Thanks for the link, My boat is actually nothing like a burgess other than that it has sponsons, if you were to put a burgess next to it then you would see that it is very different.
I once spoke with David Burgess over getting some plans off him, very nice gentleman to talk to.
