Blue p21 (got some tips from that boat ) and Ring 21 "double impact" that run in the juniors
So this is how i ended up with a damaged p20.... not knowing it had ever been raced or damaged, never mind wrote off!!..

1year later and £3000.

From what I can ascertain, the previous owner did the repair to that boat nearly 20 years ago and used it A LOT (certainly up until recent years). It was always a good boat

Haha he must have been brave! the repair was really bad.. never mind whats done is done. it was either scrap it or rebuild it..
Its totally rebuilt to the point it was in two bits!

So what was the story behind it? was it crashed racing, don't suppose you took anymore pictures of what it used to look like?

WOW that's some refurb, I remember last year when you had just purchased it and discovered the transom had split ! Fair play to you for seeing it through, I bet you know that P20 inside out ?

Cheers jason!
Yeah i know every little bit on it now haha, added a few new things into it like strengthening ribs now the side and on the top, transom is now constructed from nidaplast honeycomb instead of ply, 10mm aluminium plate from the stringers to the transom instead of the little original ones making it pretty much bomb proof and rot proof now.. it has also dropped weight.
Also added in a sealed air pocket with drain hole incase it hits something when on the plane it won't sink.

Been a lot of work but she's nearly there, evinrude decided to blow up on first sea trial so 2.5 merc's going on!

Hope its worth it.

Cheers
