National Ski-Racing @ The Stone 24-04-05
Went to see some racing yesterday. Finally got to meet a fellow boatmadder "Cyco" although i think i managed to pass-on my usual quota of misfortune!
After watching the hr long mens F1, F2, F3 and then the supporting (women & kids) races.........I have come to the conclusion, they are all fkin mental!
Cye & his newly assembled team are just launched & head out to the start line. His Bernico F2 looking (& sounding) really awesome.

Yellow Bernico 19 "cool runnings" which i think suffered some kind of failure during the last lap.
foreground, martini coloured Ring (20) which was a safety boat.

"supersonic" is (I think) a Connelly from Australia. I'm pretty sure it used to have a V12 lambo in it during a previous life. I waas told by its owner its now a pleasure boat!...........hence where i was first introduced to the merc promax.
you can just see Bazza's all new Cyclone at the top of the picture. I tried to get a better picture, but the blasted thing wouldnt stay still
Baz..........i did come over to say hello......but got one of your crew as you where off somewhere!

"Mayhem" not racing that day. Its a P20 that was bought as a complete write-off. Thw owners done a fair "home" repair an d stuck a 250+hp 'rude on it......fkin nutter!
Pits in the background.
Blue p21 (got some tips from that boat ) and Ring 21 "double impact" that run in the juniors

#8 (thats all folks!)
A personal favorite, for obvious reasons. It was a close run thing between this boat and "here on business"/ "the edge". But i fkin love this P21.
I'd like to think i've got somewhere close to emulating this with mine, but on a thorough chaos examination, its obvious to me that several more thousands where availible to the owner of "nemesis" when it was built/ rigged.
Red Cyclone & Ring 20C "Chiller" in the background.
Bren, "Chiller" is ex-hunstanton, but is now owned by a member of the stone. Wishfull thinking is owned by GB watersports and i think Cool Runnings is maintained by them. As they are in peterborough, i'm sure hunstanton is thier local patch?
