It is a completely new hull 6.5 m long, which has a 720hp custom fuel injection motor, its built to make it affordable to run in F1 ski racing, and has done 25 hours in races in france and spain at the end of the season without any problems, alot of the f1 sterndrives are lucky to see those hours in their lifetime. Martin is on his second one with a 525 mercruiser package, first week in jan he starts on one with a 1100hp supercharged motor.
As for prices the F1 Thunder hull and deck, including kevlar through out hull and deck, high density foam hull and deck, bow ballast water tank, two side water ballast tanks, £10975, prices for our 21 invader start at £6500.
See the pictures for yourself, this looks fantastic!
cheers
Dan

was looking at the site just yesterday, and came accross this, does seem very affordable until you add a motor (not saying it's overpriced, but wouldn't say 65,000 to run f1 is affordable) having said that the invaders look beautiful, will they run f3 competitively with an opti? as I only know of them running 280's. Wouldn't be this year but would deffinately be a consideration eventually

dont think you can run them in F3 cus they built with kevlar plus they prob a little big to run in F3 as i would think they would be a little underpowered with a little 150hp mota

I think Martin would probably build an Invader in any material you want and at 20' 8" overall it is significantly smaller than the P21 Martin Davies has been campaigning in F3 for some years.

Fair enough, didn't know about the Kevlar rule. An you never no after this year I might find F3 a little slow

I couldn't afford to run the thing let alone buy one, but it might so happens I might have a pull behinde an f1 boat (nay have just been drunken chatter) however I'm pretty sure that was alot less that 65,000 to put together. I realise the IB route is more expensive, and sounds much louder but really with no sponsorship or very little in the sport 65k just seems an awful lot of money ( not knocking the quality or anything else looks fantastic) having said that if I had a spare 60k currently, as you do that's not the f1 cyclone I would be buying, the twing rig seems awsome value he's selling an then have enough left over to run it for a season or two

Crikey, those two are good value! In fact the 'hull only' above is pretty damn good value too IMO, it's just the cost of buying a new motor/drive package that bumps it up so much. With a 2nd hand motor and uprated bravo or something it'd be a very cheap way of getting on the water, albeit maybe not the most competetive for F1 skiing, which I know nothing about!!
