New toy

Hi,

Congratulations with a great boat.

I will look at a 300xs or a Verado 350 sci with 20 inch midsections on a stainless marine 4,25 setback jackplate. I have the Vrod 350 sci on my ol Phantom 25. It runs consistently 80 mph. Potential to run 82 mph. And my Phantom 25 is heavy, weight being 750 kg without engine. It was made for endurance race eary 80 ties. Great hull balance and overall lift. I had PM 300 with SVS and recal ECU and the boat ran 75/76 mph on a good day. So the 350 sci is strong. Only downside is large lower unit of 5,44 inch dia.

Good luck!

According to the dash gauges, you chose the Yammie then ? Keep up the good work. Greets, T.

If I remember correctly that's the engine that was on it when it was sold to you (see also first picture in this thread) ? If you took it out for a testdrive, and were happy with the performance, you could indeed just leave it like that. I mean, why change ? and it doesn't cost you
I drive a 2-stroke Yammie myself on my P21 and I must say these are reliable and well-engineered engines. Those Japanese dudes now what they are doin'....
