Yeah, more likely to be a person killer than a Phantom killer.
looks very nice though I must say.
Pitch & roll stability appear to be completely missing, but he might have just been showing off for the camera.... I would rather see a video of it running straight & true across that slop, that would be impressive.
The poor old P25 is a 27 year old design this year, so if noo stuff can't beat it, the noo stuff must be pretty shoddy, and it wouldn't say much for 'progress'.

The poor V24 has rubber exhaust silencers mounted on it, loosing several 10's of Hp. Also it is a flat race, hardly suitable for a V24 to be at its best.

Why?
The V24 weighs 1.5 ton, the racemaster 900kg.
They have the same engine power.
It is flat.
A two foot of rough, and I would bet the house on the V24. Anything more rough, and I would bet everything on the V24.

Your english is better than some of those who post from 'up north' - and I mean up north in England!! ( where is the Garf? )
I spent some time looking for a better boat than the V24 when I was planning on building a race boat. I could find faster in the flat, but not faster in the rough. And this is England, it is always bloody rough!

Is it the wings?

I seem to remember that Geir Arnestad also designed Baby Uno that won offshore class 2 some years ago, first with Ugland and later with Thorne?

I am not sure of the wings. They do not provide much aerodynamic lift due to their design, but obviously offer resistance to 'kiting' and 'slamming'.
The steps are just right to get the boat running nice and flat to get top speed. Also the front of the boat is not very 'sharp' and is rounded, the opposite of what most others attempt.

Racemaster 25
Here is a Racemaster with twin 2.5L EFI's; http://www.finn.no/finn/boat/object?...39&pos=2&tot=5 I know the add is in Norwegian, but the pic's says it all This one does 83 knots, but there is one in Bergen with better rigging and the same engines that suppose to reach 90+ knots Could not find it now, but there is one custom built open Racemaster 25 open with twin 225 mercs for sale in Norway!
