Offshore Compilation #1

Hello!

After a few hours at the computer i now have Part.1. Its from the Late 70s to the late 80s. Just picked what ever i thought was cool. And edited in to a movie.

It is ~20min long and i just watched it, i think its okay execept from that i am not any kind of master when it comes to editing a movie, but i guess people dont care about that, they just want to se soom big air

The problem is, its obviously to big for youtube so i need a machine to host it on.

I alredy have a .se machine but not for overseas traffic, so if you guys know where i could host it, just let me know so i can post it here later..

Regards..

I loved seeing those old Kreisky videos, and Brian Jones commentary is as good as ever!

It was filmed by a guy called Brian Kreisky. He made great films of Offshore Racing in the early '80's.

His budget was mainly paid for by Ted Toleman, although I remember that a few racers back then also "chipped in".

Some of the UK stuff was biased towards donators, check out the Clarke footage on the media section here.

The voice on the film is Brian Jones, who is still an active motor sport commentator and a member of the BPRC.

Sadly he died in an air crash a few years ago.

Brian Jones used to be the commentator at Brands Hatch. Did commentary on several boat races as well.

And I had a good chat and a few glasses with him at the Spring BPRC lunch. Shame I didn't know he was going up to Silverstone that evening, would have been a cheap ride home!
