old gallery pic

I was just browsing through some old gallery threads and come across this pic that the gov posted, stating that privateer was in it , I was just wondering if the first boat in the pic ( yellow brut 33 ) was a forgecraft, as never seen a whole pic of one , lots of boats in pic, cool

Yes Yellow Brut 33 is a Forgecraft that one was Jonathon Lucas's and the boat that it is moored to is Privateer.

That is a great pic it appeared in the 1990 powerboat year book.

If you go to the following link there is a picture of the same boat in action after Jonathon sold it to Jeremy Watts.

What ever happened to Macavity? I know its owner had some issues which eventually curtailed his racing activities...

Looking at the picture I was wondering the same thing he used to live in the New Forest somewhere. In 1990 at Cowes I helped in a tug of war with Macavity it was sinking about 40 of us and a Land Rover held it until divers arrived with flotation bags.
What happened to it ??
