I did ask Jacos about this once upon a time when looking into a used (but still warented) Opti. I think the ownus is very much on you to try and get Merc to honour the 'worldwide' part of the warrenty.............. good luck i reckon.

dont discount 'lawerenceburg marine' whom are just up the road from Jacos. When i was looking, they seemed to have some cheap motors!

the best bang for the buck, seemed to be Cotys marine in NJ. they were a bit more expensive than Jacos; but half the shipping costs

300xs

You get the motor complete + trim pump for the prices quoted on the USA sites plus you will require loom, smart craft gauges & oil tank, all extra in fact that is the same anywhere unless you get a total package cost. The prices vary but surprisingly not by much, it just depends if you are prepared to do some work yourself to import and fit, or pay a bit more from a dealer here and have some support, albeit limited. No good buying in USA to save money and expecting your local dealer to be overly helpfull is it, beleive me ive done the sums, they are all 14k +/- you pays yer money & takes yer chances. If anyone knows different please let me know before i spend a lot of money.

ME, IM OFF TO PEURTO BANUS TODAY, GOT AN APPOINTMENT WITH A TWIN INBOARD 30 CRANCHI.

Try contacting Nico van Ackelyen in Belgium , he offers them for sharp prices , i also got my 300XS from Nico , and i have the 2years of waranty as well , and be sure you ask for the package price or you will only get the engine with trim pump !!!
The rest is optional as all racing engines come without wirering smartcraft etc.
