I still know where it is abandond in a field and is in good structual condition. Very heavy build.

The other four were a load of rubbish and crap build quality. every one had substandard floors and other defects (2x arrowflyte, 1x 70`s bullnose model and an arrowbeau (worst of the lot)
nice bikes dude,i had a marlborough 500,and pic is me on or should i say off my r1 at brands

I actually quite like that big fletcher.

I've got an original 1991 or 1992 brochure somewhere. I'll have to scan & PDF it I spose.

It contains the last incarnation of the Arrobeau 17

Ah , i see! I think i had the same brochure many years ago!

i think this is the original Arrwobolt21:

When i was 12 years old , a friend of my father had this boat with a 275 HP Merc tuned to 305 hp , with powerlift and she was capable of 85 mph!!!!!

greetings!
Andi

well my one (1983???) Had its floors nailed to the stringers, all fittings were mild steel. The floor was 5/16 ply with foam pumped underneath it. any damp got trapped and the floor rotted away. I was the second owner and know the person who bought it new and he complained to Fletcher about the poor build on it.

Front seats were attached to boat by mild steel threaded rod or may have been coach bolts glassed to floor but either way they were rubbish.
The inboard stainless fuel tank pickup pipe was not welded to tank, I think it was brazed orsomething but didn`t last long either. At least the top and bottom mouldings were bolted together (mild steel of course) unlike the 14 which was stapled!
I have seen a later one which seemed to have a separate floor moulding, I`d hate to see what they hid under there!

TBH I quite like the Fletchers, the newer ones are propably a lot better but nothing I`ve seen was built like my arrowstreak 16 was.

I have the 1994 broucher I have found but dont have a scanner.
Some nice looking women in it and boats too (also the awful "ski-eleven")

My 160 Arrowstreak (90's) is pretty good for a big production run boat.

the little 160 Arrowstreak (1986) that i had before was as hard as nails, and handled better. mind you, that one didnt have exactly double the rec'd hp on the back of it!

You are absolutely right! Its sick to sea that the floor is nailed! www.geocities.com/fletcher_arrowbeau Check this out! I've cutted the old inner mold out and i am now making a floor on my own. have new stringers and new transom... So it will be perfect afterall. What with the stability, speed and performance of the arrowbeau?
