Hulls
Guys, we dont actually have a price on bare hulls, if there is interest I will look into the minimum equipment requirement for the CE, but any boat will have to have at least fuel tanks as they're under the cockpit liner and probably a rubrail too.
Thanks,
Alan.

Hey Alan,
Have any progress? Already made a maiden voyage with it
I wonder how this boat would run in heavier wather!

Not been in the water yet, have been waiting on a part that was on back order but it arrived today and installed.
Got the seats etc in and gave it a good clean.
Just got graphics left to do but should be in the water very soon and complete the CE process.
A few pics I took this evening, not great light but the boat looks fantastic, what do you think?

Thanks guys, now to see if it floats!
Gav, I see you've been busy yourself! The plug looks first class.
Last time I check out that thread it was just a drawing, you're making good progress. Are you going to core them? When you think you'll have no. 1 out?
It's f'n hard to get a new project off the ground without ignoring your other work isn't it?

Very nice, looks really classy in those colours. (Loads better than the pics of the american build ones)
Regarding CE, to help get you started and get a few customers cash in, couldn't you sell bare hull, deck & structures for completion as a self build thereby circumventing CE approval?

The bare boat, or parts of, would still need to have ce certification.

Yeah , been very busy mate, if its not physically working on the plugs its mentally working out how things are gonna work! got some good ideas now though! #1 will be out of the mould just after the xmas holidays. yes it is f'kin hard to do a new project, but will be very rewarding when she is finished....
cheers Alan

Matt, yeah that sounds like a great idea although as Tony said it's not that simple, I have made a few inquiries and got some info. Yes we can supply bare hull & structures, or as close to them as the build will allow, they would be supplied with a certificate of conformaty, stating the boat was built to RCD standards.

In the Water
Finally got a chance to get this boat in the water, between work and moving house, but it was definitely worth the wait!
It was blowing hell and prety damn rough out, wasn't sure if we would even leave the estuary it with the wave heights out in the bay.
Took a few runs up and down inside to get the feel for the boat which is quite unreal actually, then we ventured out into the bay at a nice cruising speed and started to slamed quite bad so turned and headed back in.
But just for fun I decided to get it up on top on the way back in, the difference was unbelievable, it was like a different boat once you get some air under it
We turned around and headed straight back out, kept the throttle open and let her rip and holy shit does she like it. In the whole day I only managed to slam the boat once and that was off a HUGE wave that I bottled out on and dropped the throttle.
It was horrible out so didn't get any running pictures, anyway I pilfered the batteries out of the camera for the GPS
Top speed today was only 82 mph but I never held the throttle open for longer than 5 - 10 seconds, there was some quite large swell.
All in all the boat handled fantastic, needs a little more tweaking with the jackplate I think, but was more than happy for a first run.
