Replacement cowling part 2
Just been and collected this from the shipping agent, I'd say it's better than the original, and a 1/3rd of the price!

Under RYA rules the cowling is part of the homologated engine and cannot be replaced with a pattern part, whilst it would need an over zealous scrutineer or a protest to disqualify you, it is still illegal to race with one.

Really.. That sucks. I had one come unlatched from the front side last year. it flopped over and hung on by the rear latch, drag for a while at speed, then ripped the cover in peices. had to buy one. they sure arent cheap. damn mercury

The one in the pics above, is bob's machine shop replacement, about 400 bucks I think, for whole kit, cowl, tray and S/S sandwich plate.
It's absolutely superb quality

Whats the contact details and how long did it take to get here? I have top have one. When fitting to a V6 am I right in thinking that you have to remove the powerhead?
