No, the main purpose of the trip was to see the Cirque Du Soleil in Vegas, as they've just launched a new show called Love, based on the Beatles recordings. It seemed a long way to go just for that, so we also went to San Francisco, as my wife worked there for a while in the 70's as a student, and I fancied a trip to Havasu for the boats etc.
It seemed strange re visiting a place that I hadn't been to for 30 years, and it sure has changed, it was a sleepy little town with a bridge and an english pub when i first visited, it's a lot different now though. Pubs still there, but looking very tired and tacky.
The boating was fun, but pretty boring. I rented a boat that had a top speed of 50 ish, and the water is pretty flat, although i was told to watch out as it was going to be pretty lumpy on that day. 100 would have been better, which is what the majority of the boats seemed capable of.
We had a great day on the lake, but to be honest a day was enough. It's seems to be one huge party all the time, the weather was 100 plus, and the drink is cheap, they just need some waves to make it fun.
