Had a Skater 21 on brokerage when I worked with Aruncraft a few years back. I think it was formerly 'Raving Mad.'

Was sold and delivered to a French superyacht anchored around the back of the Isle of Wight.

So there are two Skater 21s around these parts (one possibly still in the CIs)
I understand from Glen Grayson who at the time was looking to race with Mike that the boat was brand new from the States.

Ah right.

Whatever happened to Mike Sheppard? I think he was somehow involved with a plan to race a Codak marine turbine powered Hunton about ten years back, but have never heard of him since..

Last I heard about the red Skater, the motor bolts broke from the transom. Thank god the cables stopped the 'Rude from sinking & it was fixed.

Trick Powerboats

Hello to all

Someone today mentioned to me today that they had seen our boat on this web site.

I've enjoyed looking the site over today. Let me say that you guys, "on the other side of the pond", have some beautiful boats!

I'm curious to know what type of waters you boat on. Much of what I have seen appears to be fairly rough conditions similar to some of our coastal conditions but much rougher than our inland lakes.

We have had some overseas interest in our boats but shipping "over there" has always presented a challenge. Again, someone referenced a 22 NorCat as an option. I visited their site and saw they make a beautiful boat of their own. I'd guess you could not go wrong in buying one. It looks great. It seems like the European designs have a much more narrow cockpit in most of the boats I have seen. I guess that is one of the differences a few thousand nautical miles can make.

Spring is on the way here in Kentucky and that means it's time get ready for the season.

You guys have a great forum here! Good luck to all!

I also wanted to clarify a statement in one of the posts above.

All of our boats are built to accomodate either single OR twin engine applications. A single Mercury 260 will push the into the mid 90's (mph)and twins into 120's (mph). Most buyers opt for the single engine. With proper setup a single 300x should easily break the 100mph mark.

Regards
Jeff Haag

Welcome aboard Jeff, nice boat. Concerning CE regulations I found a document stating there could be an equivalence between US & CE specifications, anybody know about this ?

Stirling that a sweet cat. You mean its not been sold yet after 8 months ?
Those CE regs are a bitch but can make the sale a lot harder .
Believe me I'm having big problems registering my Finnish built UK bought Argo.
