No - there were quite a number in the early 70´s when it was fashionable (including my all time favourite boat Eraf). There were a number of other manufacturers who also utilised that style - Wally Franz´s Bertram 38 Pangaré Gringo was just one. If you haven´t got it check out the book by Don Aronow´s son all about Cigarette and the other companies set up by Aronow - some great pictures there-in.

What's the book called and I will try and get a copy.
My dad did the model mould of the 36' cigarette and subsequently he moulded several for people in the model boat club that we belonged to. The boats that were built were I Like It Too, Dry Martini, Eraf and Yellowdrama II that I can remember. He subsequently did the 40' which only ever had one boat taken from it i.e Limit Up. The 37' which had Peter Stuyvesant taken from it, he also moulded one 35' for Pete Downie. He moulded American Eagle for one of the club members but I can't remember if that was a 35' or 37'. He still has the moulds so I might have to do one, don't know which though. Any ideas?

Splitpin - not sure if this is going to work but here goes. Try this link. If it doesn´t work go into the Amazon site and search under Michael Aronow (although in fact they say the book is not in stock right now).

And here´s a raceboat with side exhausts!

Lady Nara. (seen for sale in Italy a couple of years ago by a friend of mine over there. Still painted red, and for sale for around 30,000 US dollars - I could cry!)

Except it wasn't actually Don Aronow who designed it.
I quite like the later Cigarettes, but those early, flat deck, flared bow designs don't do quite the same things for me, at least not from all angles, they're gorgeous from some angles, and not gorgeous from others, thats how I see them.
An amazing milestone all the same tho'.
