Great photos Nige, good to meet up with you this year.
We should have a boatmad forum meet next year on the Friday or the Saturday , talk powerboats . I'm sure we all could talk for hours, something I do not get much chance at home, the missus is not interested at all!
See you next time
Steve
PS: your Bounty Hunter shots are stunning mate.

For me it was one of the events of a lifetime. A million thanks to absolutely everybody involved, and especially John for making it all happen for me and the other snappers. We are obliged!
THanks to Norty on here also for getting me out there on the RYA RIB for the first race, which thankfully turned out to be a much drier experience than anticipated!
Scarron - hi res should be on it's way to you later today!

Ah.., I'm working on that one!
Started-off with a few "motorboat" rides... just been in Torquay with the classic boats and a ride on a Fairey Huntsman...
Got to get her a lifejacket and then into something fast... it's now "make or break" time!!
(she'll either love it or hate it... this might call for some careful management..)

Back to the photos...
Not a patch on some of the more professional ones I've seen on here, but here's a few of the boats in the haven and getting ready for the run down the Solent... Wicked looking boat, that Fury...sorry, Swipewipes..!

I agree with Tim Brand Crombie who remarked to me that it was a fantastic performance from the Fury team to do so well in what was a rough race - when you look at the shallowness of that hull - they must have had a bumpier ride than most. Somehow the boat looks bigger than 39' - must be the narrow beam??

BTW... That DOES include yours Nige!! In fact, everyone else's apart from mine..!
Just a few more that are slightly different... Some of the winner coming-in (and Fabio doing an impression of the Pope) and other heroic finishers (anyone who finished, or even took part is a hero in my book)
Hedgehog wearing sunglasses courtesy of littlenige..!
Thanks to Roger and Heather Bowley for use of flying bridge on "Independant Lady" and for overall hospitality..

Not really - we had engine and gearbox issues from the start and we had to take it easy - we came straight back from Torquay andf it was a bit wet, but I think everyone got soaked including Vee and Gareth in Fury, having said that in never felt like it was going to stuff properly, may have been different if we were pushing harder!
