How long will you carry on with it like this?

500/525 EFI's or even 496HO's would be pretty quick, and more importantly, warranteed

Those Gladiators are truly beautiful looking boats, but watch the turns.

I like the Hawk 34's too

Are you using AOL?

If yes, minimise AOL, and open Internet Explorer, it'll probably work then, after you've run it once with internet explorer, it'll run OK in AOL! (don't ask me why tho')

I'd bet Hutchy would have footage of that.

So, Steve, if you have any footage, and could copy a bit on VHS and send it to me, I'd be happy to digitise it and post it here.

its a bit tough checking the gauges at 90 mph + but i dont think its making more than 5lbs of boost as it is ; i can run all day [here come the petrol jokes ] at 70mph but whats the point of having a potential speed of 115 - 120 mph and running like a pussy ? . when the gaskets blu on the stb motor it appeared that the edge of the gasket was in the cylinder ..... so im hoping that this is the problem.

Cool! I hope it all turns out OK.

You've clearly been looking at Gladiators, how much do they go for (used)?

Tony Dowley's Nor-Tech 'Thunderbird' has been here and gone. It was at Driver's Wharf for a month and a half or so.

Tony couldn't get the timekeepers for the 'Round the Island' record attempt so it didn't happen but a few memorable runs were made anyway. Perhaps an unofficial record was a pass in the western Solent at 130 (both GPS's ) with five people in the boat. To my mind it might be the fastest a boat has ever travelled there. The Class I boats from yesteryear were not that fast.

I've included a few photos that were done when Tony and I met at Driver's Wharf at the end of September and were supposed to take 'Thunderbird' out for a bit of a cruise. We didn't go out as it was discovered that the braided hoses to the drives and tabs had developed the most enormous bubbles and the thought of those bursting gave cause for reflection. Wouldn't really want to have a drive change position at 130 +.

If you were spending that kind of money would you expect to be constricted to steering or throttling from one side only?
