Team Apache

I found this tape in my loft last year and gave it to JF to convert to DVD. Jon thought it so fantastic that he pumped it up on here (Boatmad Gallery) and then it went off around the world including the USA like a bush fire. It is my favourite clip and I play it at least once a week for the kick and never tire of watching it. Those who have raced will agree that the sheer bravery of those guys beggers belief. There was no canopy in those days! I did have it on the RB08 web site for some time and our webmaster John Moore then put it up onto YouTube and that is where you found it.
It is still the best film of a powerboat running at 90mph in big seas that I have EVER seen.

That's it I am afraid, it's part of the Worlds in Key West in 1988. Talked to Pete Carrington at the Boat Show he was in the boat in front and the Apache never did catch them although it was close. Pete said that the Trim Tabs on that Apache had been so abused that they were virtually hanging off!!
